Serrated Flange Lock Nuts

A serrated flange lock nut is a type of fastener designed to securely fasten two or more components together and prevent loosening due to vibration, temperature changes, or external forces. It features a flange, which is a flat, disc-like protrusion with serrations (small ridges or teeth) on the underside of the nut. The serrations on the flange of the nut grip the surface it is in contact with, typically the material being fastened, when the nut is tightened. This serrated flange design creates additional friction between the nut and the mating surface, which helps to resist rotation and prevent the nut from loosening over time. Serrated flange lock nuts are commonly used in applications where vibration and movement could potentially cause traditional nuts to come loose. They are often used in automotive, machinery, and construction equipment, among other industries, to provide a more secure and reliable fastening solution. These nuts are available in various sizes and materials, such as steel or stainless steel, to suit different applications and environmental conditions.
